It’s mesmerizing how quickly a year goes by, and once again, you are tasked to whip up a birthday celebration even better than the last big shindig you threw. Here are 10 great ideas for all ages that will make that next birthday bash truly memorable.
1. Candy Shop Birthday Go retro for your next celebration! Replicate the fun of the famous “I Love Lucy” candy factory scene. To set up the theme, gather white butcher paper, cupcake, caramel apples, and candy decorating supplies for guests to create their own treats.
2. Japanese Lantern Sleepover for the Girls Decorate with paper lanterns and sheer fabric tents. Create hair up-dos with glittery chopsticks and provide silk Japanese robes. To complete the concept, create origami invitations, order Asian food, and watch subtitled movies.
3. Cooking Class Bash Have a professional chef come to the house and conduct a cooking class. Guests watch, learn, and prepare the actual birthday meal for the celebrant that very night.
4. Cognac Tasting Celebration Get a hands-on course on cognac tasting. Guests sip and sample fine cognacs while picking up tricks of the trade when it comes to identifying different flavors found in the spirit.
